We’re looking for a Software Infrastructure Engineer to join DVT team in, Cairo, Egypt.

Responsibilities:

  • Working on complex software applications, understanding, and developing features, and resolving bugs without disrupting existing functionality.
  • Following software processes during the development cycle and delivering code with high quality.
  • Adding basic coverage for implemented features, running software test suites, and investigating failures.
  • Collaborating with internal and overseas developers, product owners and product engineers to understand and manage interdependencies of project tasks, and discuss implementation details.
  • Participating in project planning and tracking, conducting task investigations, work breakdown, and schedule estimation, while keeping the project lead informed of project status and risks.
  • Ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms.
  • Creating, documenting, and executing software designs which may involve complicated workflows or multiple product areas.

Required skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science.
  • Experience with software engineering best practices (reviews, design documentation, testing).
  • Excellent knowledge of C/C++, OOP and experience with development under LINUX and Windows environments.
  • Excellent programming and software engineering skills.
  • Proficient in code optimization to achieve better performance and memory.
  • Experience in HDL languages like VHDL and Verilog is a plus.
  • Proficiency in build systems such as Make, CMake, and others.
  • Familiarity with one or more widely-used compilers, including GCC, MSVC, Clang, or cross-compilers
  • Experienced in writing portable code that works across platforms
  • Experienced with code profiling tools, complexity analysis and memory/time optimization are all huge plus.
  • Strong demonstration for analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong skills in Algorithms and Data structures.
  • Strong ability to learn, explore and innovate with complex technologies.
  • Self-motivation, self-discipline and the ability to set and work consistently towards personal goals in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share knowledge with others.
