DISTINGUISHED PRODUCT ENGINEER - 487775

We are seeking a highly motivated Principal/Distinguished Technologist to develop the advanced AI/ML solutions for Manufacturing EDA applications. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Siemens EDA Calibre Manufacturing Portfolio Unit, this role will be a key member of the senior management team within the Calibre Manufacturing Portfolio Unit.

Role and Responsibilities
· Serve as a hybrid Product and R&D Architect, responsible for defining, developing, and deploying AI/ML software products and solutions for Manufacturing EDA applications.
· Collaborate closely with cross-domain experts in a fast-paced, startup-style environment to drive innovation from concept through production.
· Apply state-of-the-art AI/ML technologies to create differentiated, high-impact products that deliver measurable value to world-leading semiconductor manufacturing customers.

Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following education, experience, and skills:
· A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
· 15+ years of experience in AI/ML development, advanced software architecture, computational modeling, or EDA technologies, with progressive technical leadership responsibilities.
· Strong programming capability in Python and/or C++, with hands-on experience building scalable, production-quality software systems.
· Proven skills in physics-based and data-driven modeling, including model development, training, validation, and deployment in production environments.
· Solid understanding of software development best practices, including system architecture, algorithm design, code optimization, validation, version control, and CI/CD workflows.
· Demonstrated expertise applying AI/ML techniques to complex engineering problems, preferably within semiconductor manufacturing, EDA, or high-performance scientific computing domains.
· Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and workflows, including lithography, etch, deposition, and process integration, is highly desirable.
· Track record of translating customer and business requirements into end-to-end technical solution architectures that achieve real-world adoption.
· Experience collaborating across R&D, product management, and applications organizations in globally distributed teams.
· Strong technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional influence skills, with the ability to drive alignment without authority.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts clearly to both technical experts and executive stakeholders.
